Frontiers of Interaction
I served as Conference Director of Frontiers of Interaction in 2010, joining cofounders Leandro Agro' and Matteo Penzo to lead business strategy, transforming the event from a non-profit academic initiative into a for-profit company.
Founded in 2005 to explore Interaction Design, Frontiers of Interaction rapidly established itself as Italy's leading Innovation conference, connecting entrepreneurs, CEOs, academics, early adopters and trend-setters for information, inspiration and networking. It created a bridge between Europe and Silicon Valley by featuring inspiring international speakers alongside Italian talent.

My responsibilities included programme curation, business development, partnerships and experience design. The 6th edition took place in Rome in July 2010 at the Aquario Romano, designed in the late 1880s.
The conference offered an immersive experience unusual for its time, combining music, interactive and artistic installations, demos and keynotes. Speakers addressed diverse topics including design leadership, social usability, augmented social reality, data visualisation, and human-machine interaction, featuring robot performances incorporating stand up comedy and dancing.
Frontiers of Interaction was highly participatory, with the audience suggesting themes during preliminary brainstorming sessions, joining co-creation workshops and contributing to venue decoration with their personal geek memorabilia.

The audience contributed to the event's decor with their own geek-gadgets
We curated every touchpoint of the experience, from the stimulating venue to hosting one of the first iPad compatible live streamings following the device's launch earlier that year. Even participant badges were designed as collectible items (read more about the badges).
